A Little Background

Theorem was founded in 1999 by Mike McCaffery and Kim White. Over the years we’ve been fortunate to work with some exceptional organizations including: The Acumen Fund, Spencer Clark, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Yale University, and the University of Maryland to name a few.

Strategy and Tactics

Our goal from the very beginning has been to provide strong visual communications that enhance an organization’s brand. We’ve been able to do this by following one basic principle – we listen to our clients and ask questions. It’s only when we have complete understanding of the project’s objectives that we start the creative and development process. The end result is concept-driven design that delivers a clear message.

Where We’re Headed

The Web is evolving and its power to engage an audience is growing significantly. Like the web, marketing and design agencies alike need to change as well. Today, Theorem is focused on developing marketing communication that seeks to take full advantage of the interactive media space. We're still small and nimble, but by forming partnerships—in marketing, communications, and back-end development—our clients can take advantage of some incredible knowledge gained by seasoned professionals.

The name of our firm / The word Theorem derives from the Greek word “to look at” or “the act of seeing.” We chose it as our moniker because it conveys our philosophy that by the proper presentation of information – be it words, data, or images – we can enhance the understanding of complex ideas.
